Catriona came through this morning at 6:15 as excited as can be. "It's snowing!"

We spent a quiet Christmas at home this year after a hectic holiday season. It will be our last holiday season as a threesome and we wanted it to be special for Catriona.
On Christmas Eve, we visited with some friends before going to carols and mass. We skipped the traditional Brazilian all-night "ceia" celebration and instead opted for an early night. Catriona put out a glass of whisky and a couple of gingerbread cookies for Santa Claus.
Now, Catriona may not know who "Santa Claus" is exactly, but she has certainly figured out his Brazilian counterpart, "Papai Noel". She woke us up just before 8 o'clock, and her first words were "Papai Noel, presentes".
We opened our presents and had a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, accompanied by buck's fizz.
We had our main meal out this year at a local Italian place called Mio. Catriona had pasta, of course! After lunch, we had a walk on the beach.
We hope that you and your families had an enjoyable and peaceful holiday.
